  • 2. What kind of vision benefits packages do you offer?

    All kinds! EyeMed offers a variety of plans to meet your clients’ unique needs. This includes insured (through licensed insurance companies) and fee-for-service funded benefits and discount vision programs.

  • 3. Are your vision benefits packages available on any private exchanges?

    Yes! EyeMed’s plans are available on several private exchanges. To find out if EyeMed is available on an exchange you may work with, contact your exchange representative.

  • 4. Do you offer products in all states?

    Yes! EyeMed’s plans are available in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. We can also provide benefits for employees in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

  • 5. What is your minimum group size?

    We would love to serve everyone, but we require at least 10 employees enrolled in a program.

  • 6. How big is your network?

    Members can access as many as 82,000 providers nationwide* – including independent, national retail and regional retail providers. Plus we’ve added online, in-network options, such as ContactsDirect and Glasses.com.

    Depending on which network your clients choose, or which exchange you’re affiliated with, their benefit package may be supported by a subset of these providers. Regardless, your clients’ employees will find the perfect provider to satisfy their vision care and eyewear needs.   • 7. Do employees need to file claims for benefits?

    Employees don’t need to file claims for in-network benefits. The only exception is if a company offers out-of-network benefits and an employee decides to use the benefit at a non-participating provider. In this case, the employee must complete and submit an out-of-network claim form to be reimbursed for services and materials.

  • 8. How good is EyeMed’s customer service?

    Our customer service just might be the best. We have the most extensive hours in the industry. Representatives can respond to member calls 362 days a year, from 7:30 AM to 11:00 PM ET Monday through Saturday and from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM ET Sunday. We also offer self-service options online and via our toll-free phone line, 866-9EYEMED.
